Six Wildcats Make Major Strides in National Rugby Pathway This Summer
ELLENSBURG, Wash. – Six members of the Central Washington University Men's Rugby team have taken significant steps along the national pathway this summer.
- Sevens: Oscar Treacy is currently competing in France with the USA Men's Falcons as part of the EAAST 7s Series.
- U23s: Tiai Vavao and Campbell Robb have been selected for the USA U23 squad, which will tour Southern Africa.
- U19s: Kellan LaFave, Sawyer Troupe, and Aidan Stewart have been named to the U19 team that will compete in the RAN Championship in Mexico. Todd Thornley will serve as head coach of the U19 team.

It's rewarding to see them take these next steps, and we're excited to watch them grow through these experiences."The USA Falcons, a development platform for rising USA Eagles talent, will showcase 13 of the country's top sevens prospects. Among them are nine players who recently competed together on the USA U23 team at the RugbyTown Sevens, along with four athletes from the USA Sevens Residency program.In collaboration with Anthem Rugby Carolina, USA Rugby coaching staff will guide a U23 squad on a high-performance tour of Southern Africa. The team departs June 22 and returns July 13, facing strong competition in both Zimbabwe and South Africa.With the U20 Trophy not taking place this year, USA Rugby has opted to send a U19 team to Mexico City, ensuring continued development for athletes poised to compete in next year's U20s.Read the full story HERERead the full story HERE
