Central Washington University junior Jessica Postle has been announced as a traveling member of the Canada U20's Women's Rugby Team.
Postle will join 27 other players to represent Canada over the pond in Dublin, Ireland as they kick off their spring season. Postle and Team Canada will play hosting Ireland both on May 10 as well as May 17 at 1:00 p.m. local/5:00 a.m. PST at the IRFU High Performance Centre. Postle will see some familiar faces as the U20 team rosters eight players from the University of British Columbia who the 'Cats faced in the regular season finale a few weeks ago after winning their first-ever U SPORTS Women's Rugby Championship title this past fall.
"This selection process or this year's U20 women's team included five regional champs held in Ontario, Quebec, Alberta, BC, and the Atlantic as well as player's performance in provincial U19 competition and U SPORTS," said Dean Murten, head Coach of Canada's U20 Women's Rugby Team. "This is an exciting group of up-and-coming players that our experienced coaching staff is looking forward to working with in Ireland."
